The colder it gets the better I sleep.
Smokey looking out back door has no idea how cold it is outside.
Hold on a minute----------------------------------.
Let her out at 4:50 PM, lets see how long she is out.

Yesterday's high in the 60's; today's high in the 20's, a 40 degree drop. Snow and ice today, some roads & bridges closed. I stayed inside & did nothing.

It is 9 degrees right now. Yes I sleep well in cool weather. I shiver myself awake in the cold. Brrr.

9 here too. ouch!
We acquired a new kitten this Summer thinks to my tender hearted daughter and yesterday was his first experience of snow. what a hoot! I was laughing everytime I checked on him. he was springhopping through the snow. batting at it as it turned to powder in front of him crouching and pouncing... it was pretty funny. this morning at 9 degrees he is out there again not wanting to come back in.

The three main tv channels here plus Weather Underground all had mid 20's for the low this morning. It's 30 out there. Swing and a miss! But that's OK; at least they missed on the low side.

Default This morning...

I can't recall when it's been this cold so early in November. I was on my way to get a Starbucks.

You guys are really getting that early taste of winter. 60 F here and raining. It actually didn't rain for awhile this afternoon and it was gorgeous to me, wind and all. But somehow it's going to end up at -2C (28F) overnight with a windchill of -10 C(14F). All that water is gonna be ICE. Going nowhere.

I have been visiting Chicago the past few days, drove up through an ice storm, wrecks everywhere. It is some authentic Chicago weather, with sub zero wind chills.

I used the Waze app when ttavelling. It will tell you data reported by other users, for wrecks and other travel delays. The app routed me around several wrecks by going from the interstate to the nearby state highway. It saved a lot of time....technology can be cool stuff sometimes.

Well, by the time the sun cleared the trees it did get down to 27. Same for tomorrow and then we'll be over the sub-freezing hump.

The weatherman explained it all tonight - jet stream has dipped way low to the bottom of continental north america, we were just outside the loop on the far eastern tip. Broke high temperature record today, but that will soon be over. We were warmer than Texas and Tampa though, for a day! Rare 'fringe benefits' for being the last bit stuck out into the atlantic..
