I see both of those mentioned on a LOT of must-have lists.. That says quite a lot.

For me, one must-have is Rouge de Marmande. I grow it every year.

Im pretty much a boring person but by this time of the year I am longing for tomatoes so bad I'll do just about anything for one especially this year since the heat and dought here killed everything before summer got here....
I plant early girls every year so I can have tomoatoes before May.........only have one 50 foot row of planting space so 15 early girls go in the ground then assorted varieties that I want to try from year to year.

If I could only grow one, I would hunt down whomever was trying to repress my tomato growing needs, kill them, chop them up, compost them, and use them to fertilize my myriad of varieties I must grow

Another vote for Cherokee purple (or indian stripe) The brandy wines are just to unrliable here for me.. An may I suggest if allowed a second one, one, and only one, stupice for early eating.
