Buds on waiting plants
My plants are beyond ready to go out. Jagodgka, Patio, and manitoba have tiny little buds on them. Should I be worried? All plants are approx. 10 inches tall. This weekend is the set out date because the wind, rain, and cold nighttime temps have kept me at bay. Man I have my whole weekend planned!!!!

Tiny immature buds are of no concern, especially on extra-early varieties that are 10" tall and ready for the garden. Pull them off and you're first tomatoes will probably be a week later. I just noticed a set forming on my Bloody Butcher. It's staying!

A few years ago (and again this year), it took me a bit to get my garden in, so I ended up planting 12-16 inch tall plants with open flowers and a few small fruit set. I planted them all as they were, and all was well - large, vigorous plants, plenty of fruit - including some from those early clusters.
