Well, shiver me timbers!! Looks like i'm getting a north wind blowing bringing some rain and "cooler" temps. Lows expected to be in the mid' 70's next week. Yippee!! Hope you get the same respite for your fall crop. High's still expected at or above 90 (55 days str8), but mucho better than the current hundy.

We are still getting days in the 90s but the nights are getting a bit cooler and next week the days are supposed to be much cooler. Of course I'll have to see it an feel it to believe it after the June and July we've had this year.

The local forecast is saying it might only be 98F next Tuesday and Wednesday with a 10% chance of rain. While it has been at and above 100 for many days in a row, it hasn't been as humid. Humidity in the 50s is a lot easier to live with than 70% and more.

There is one good thing about it being so hot and dry - as I look out the window at the grass I mowed last week - it looks like I just mowed it.

Fighting fire with fire, I took a first stab at three-bhut jerk chicken, (pecan limbs, no chemicals).

(It isn't horrible.)
