Default how many pepper plants in one pot?

I'm new to growing peppers. last year was my 1st time. I had great results with
sport peppers (capsicum annuum) 1 plant in a 8 gal. plastic pot. I now have a bunch of little seedlings and i'm wondering if i might be able to put more than one in a 5.25gal pot without making them all unhappy..not sure how much space they need. i'd put them each in an 8gal if i could but I'm running out of space and pots!
thanks for any pointers!

I plant 2 or 3 in a pot that size. Put them on opposite points of a triangle and train them to go in different directions. The more plants, the more water and fertilizer.

I do 2 plants in a 5 gallon bucket with good results. I'd be confident with 2, maybe you could do one or two with 3 as a trial?

Depends on what you're growing and to a lesser extent the length of your season. Also whether you plan to overwinter.

Up there next to the great white north, two typical plants is not unreasonable.

More plants per pot will mean less peppers per plant, but you get to try more varieties.

Go for it. I used a 7 gal fabric pot this Spring and put 3 Carribean Reds in it. I got plenty of peppers off of them. Dont be afraid of making mistakes, either. Thats how I learned and probably every single gardener has figured out what works best for them. You know what kills the most seedlings and plants? Gardeners. LOL
