I have two plants : One has bigger tomatoes than the other. But the other one grows more tomatoes like sort of multi flora. And the color is more yellow gold as opposed to sungold which is orange-yellow when fully ripe. BTW: I have not found any Sungold to crack. Maybe because I don't let them stay on the vine too long.

I think I'm really going to like Koralik ( Russian variety from Territorial Seed). It's compact, the tomatoes are acid and sweet in a good old fashioned flavor combination and they are easy to pick in clusters.

Finally I am getting some harvest. These were in the basket , on the table from last harvest.
---Tiger Grape: I like its look. The flesh is nice purple. The plants are just pumping. --- Esterina F2: Way larger fruits than SunGold. Esterina stays yellow/gold when fully ripe. But SunGold turns orange color. --- Chocolate Cherry: It it average in production and taste. It won't return.

Has anyone grown sweet baby girl? I'd like to try some of those next year.
I'm growing my usuals Sungold Pink BB Sunrise Bumblebee black cherry Blush and a new one is Cascade lava. I'm actually growing it in the coldframe and pruning it. I just want to see what happens. Rev. MK is another new one I'm excited about. Oh and Maglia Rosa. |

Here's my list for this year. Desternot is an accidental cross I've been growing out for several years, and will offer up some year soon around here, as a real tasty and real productive pink cherry (one line) and an interesting pink mini-beefsteak type (another line).
Ambrosia Gold Black Cherry Brad's Atomic Grape Cherry Bomb F1 DesterNot Esterina F1 Five Star Grape F1 Fox Cherry Golden Sweet F1 Green Doctors Frosted Indigo Blue Berries Indigo Blue Berries Yellow Kazachka Lemon Drop Lucky Tiger Maglia Rosa Matt's Wild Cherry Medovaya Kaplya My Grape F2 Nova F1 Pearly Pink Orange Pink Bumblebee Pink Tiger Purple Bumblebee Rancho Solito Red Pear Russian Mini Yellow Snow White Starfire Isis Sungold F1 Sunrise Bumblebee Sweet Mojo cherry Tami G Hybrid grape Tommy Toe Vince P1 - This one is tricky. It splits terribly at even the hint of humidity or other moisture, and when it looks and feels ripe, it tastes rotten, gone by. But if I pick it (split or not) just before it seems ripe, the flavor is absolutely heavenly - my all-time favorite. So as problematic as it is, I still grow it every year. FarmerShawn

I can't answer yet. The Sunsugar had too much Fusarium and RKN to grow large enough to produce. However, I do have a couple plants growing in solo cups for the fall garden. Which is in a completely different garden.

I grew 5 plants from some seeds I saved from a Juliet f1. Three have tomatoes, all are similar to Juliet in plant growth/size/shape, and fruit set, but all have different fruit. I thought they were pretty interesting. One looks pretty similar to Juliet, but the other two are much different. One long and skinny and similar in looks to Opalka, the other is short and wrinkled, and some are heart shaped. I'm curious to see if they taste good at all. I know Juliet isn't the most popular tomato, but it makes really excellent sauce.

I can't say enough about Esterina .
I was going to string it with one branch but just got out of control. I took this picture this morning. There are lot more fruits that the camera's eye could not detect.

I grew Sungold, Black cherry and Esterina this year.
I have already reached a decision to grow just Esterina next season.. My F2 is just the same as the F1 that I bought from farmers market last year. I will also keep my Tiger Grape , as ornamental. Though it has good old fashion tomato taste.
