Pet pics....you asked for it.
So recently moved into my own place.
Needed help decorating so hired a designer.
She specified fancy pillows and a faux fur throw.
Dog seems to like them, I guess that's a win.

Default The Gulf of Mexico (technically Galveston Bay)

On a very rainy day we went to San Leon to eat seafood...about a 15 min. drive. Notice the ashtrays on the tables. In the city of Houston itself, it is not allowed to smoke in restaurants, bars, and work sites.

My wife's uncle had a place on the water in Kemah. He had a large boat docked in front of his house. We always enjoyed putting crab traps out around his boat dock and by evening, we had enough for a good crab boil. Those were good times. I'm not sure it would be as much fun today with all the laws and rules on crabbing.

Default Two years ago today

Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas two days earlier near Rockport. But for Houston it was not the storm surge or the wind, it was the rain, measured in feet. This is looking out my front door.

The rain was bad in Houston, but the flood prevention reservoirs made it worse when they filled and they had to release more water from the reservoirs making the floods even deeper down stream. Draining the reservoirs also made the floods last longer than they would have without the flood control.

Default Major kitchen remodel

No, this is not a photo from one of Worth's worksites. But it probably could be. Maybe he should come down and supervise this job, lol.

There are 820 new laws I am going to have to memorize now.
The news thing is misleading.
You have to be 21 to buy tobacco products not just cigarettes.

They didn't mention the lemonade stand law allowing kids to have a lemonade stand.

Nor the new rape kit law that mandates that the rape kit has to be tested in due time not 20 years later like in one case.
(((Lavinia Masters Act)))
Where the statute of limitations ran out after 10 years.
Lavinia Masters was13 years old when she was raped at knife point and the kit set on backlog for over 20 years.

The so called Chick-fil-A bill protecting business religious freedom from government agencies. .

Many more.
