Irish Liquor - Green Tomato
I planted my first green tomato this season and I was suprised, the plant produced over 20 beautiful 10 to 12oz tomatoes that turn yellow/gold when ripe. The taste was sweet & mild with a fruity flavor and very juicy with a nice bright green & white flesh. They were not tart. I got over 12lbs off the one plant.

The green tomatoes set fruit at the same time as the pink tomatoes, and like the pink tomatoes they have not set fruit in the 90plus temps. The green tomatoes had some cracking from the rain but generally not as severe as the pink tomatoes. Basically they performed much like the pink tomatoes in the same bed setout at the same time.
I am planning on growing them again since they were productive and unique in flavor. |
