Oh your Runner Beans!!! I am envious. Didn't grow any this year, but Scarlet Runners are one of my favorite flat Romano-type beans. So beany & delicious when picked at the relatively small-to-medium stage, boiled or steamed, & seasoned with some fresh (or dried)Marjoram, melted butter, & sometimes a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

Thank you everyone!

The chair belonged to my husbands grandma.. I love it also.
I love to grow a variety of chard and kale. I will make room to grow even more next season. My chickens, turkeys, and baby pigs love it as much as we do.. I love to sauté the Nero Di Toscano Kale in some olive oil, with garlic and sea salt..The plants are steady producers. Keep picking and water well, they will last from spring till a heavy frost. I am getting ready to start more from seed..

Yes, Insuks Wang Kong bean pods taste wonderful when picked young before the pods swell up with beans. I am letting most of the beans mature so I can save seeds and plant a bunch next year.

I've never done so, but understand that some folks use/like the Runner-Bean types as fresh shell beans, like one would do with Limas.

Chinese Celery.. (Kunn Choi) Blooming and going to seed. I will collect the seed to use as a spice. I will grind some of it to use in a blend for my hubby's sausage he loves. Chinese Celery is a LOT stronger in flavor than regular celery. When picked fresh the stalks have a strong, slightly bitter taste. I tasted it out in the garden one day, and had to spit it out..lol. When cooked, it looses some of that bitterness. I like it in stir fry's..

Purple Dog Creek. Large, meaty, juicy, A nicely balanced flavor with a bit of sweetness.. 19 ounces. One of my favorites!

German Johnson, Potato Leaf. This is my first year growing..My favorite for flavor so far! Rich and meaty. Love it! So far the tomatoes average 8 to 11 ounces..

Madame Rouge Garnier.. Love this tomato! A great one for sauce. Perfect balance of flavors. I went out to my garden and just counted over 43 tomatoes on one plant! The fruit average about 10 ounces..
