Default The Blemish Free Fruit OP varieties list ...

Hi all .....after exploring BER susceptibility in different TOM varieties ...in another thread .

I was thinking of highlighting a list of OP Varieties that had dependable

clean Blemish free fruit .....(no " misfires" ?)

Never BER
no catfacing
no splitting
no cracking ...etc.

Blemish free . (to some extent)

The first variety example I will use is :

Matina / Tamina .

Which ones are dependable "Blemish free " for you ?

doesn't blemish free depend to a certain extent on the temperature. cold weather during blosson formation makes for many imperfections on the first few flushes of tomatoes for me. I even picked a zippered tomato out of my high tunnel and I know there wasn't that much cold in there but I few nights they needed covered after planting them out.

Jaune Flammee is doing it for me this year. Perfect and uniform fruit.

In the beefsteak department, Yaponskiy Krab comes to mind as the most perfectly shaped, but I don't remember if there were ever any defects whatsoever.

The small ones are usually perfect. In the big department Eva Purple Ball as mentioned, and to some extent Gregori's Altai.

STUPICE is pretty much blemish free. The fruits are the size of Matina or bigger.

I don't sell, but after reading from those who do, I start to think "this would make a good market tomato."

I'll add:

Bloody Butcher - small but uniform and a pretty little tomato.
Red Barn - a very pretty larger tomato
Isis Candy

Agree with:
Cosmonaut Volkov
Juane Flamme

Having some problems with:
Eva Purple Ball
