Default still eating 'em in Indy

got back from AZ around Oct. 20th, picked the toms that weren't frozen, put them in the garage on a shelf, ate 4 yesterday, 2 Beefhearts, 2 beefsteaks and some yet to eat (only a pound or so)............ if i did not go to AZ and picked 'em before the freeze, I may have had enough to get through the winter--not really. Many seem to dry out from the inside but the flavor remains good. Any one else do the weird stuff i do?
