Black Krim, it has been my favorite for at least six years. I remember growing it in 2007. This year they been excellent. Just had my first Joe's Pink Heart for breakfast. It was great! Cherokee Purple has been good. Black Cherry's have been good, much better than other years. And of course Sungold.

I must eat tomatoes! Now!

I can almost taste that Texwine just from looking at the photos! I will be trying to get seeds for that to plant next year!

I am absolutely in love with Pink Berkeley Tie Dye! Nice, medium sized plant that puts out absolutely gorgeous tomatoes with a rich flavor and some are very large! I have one that was 1.5 lbs in a donut shape that was open in the middle and not connected on one side. Hard to explain but crazy!

Reisentraube has great flavor and as of tonight, I found out they are perfect for cutting in half and slow roasting at a low temp for a few hours. Delicious!

Growing Jaune Flamme for the first time and love the color, flavor and these are also nice for roasting.

A few standout on taste: Prue, Dester, Brandywine Sudduth's, Wes and KBX -- in that order. Production on all those, except Wes, is light. Purple Dog Creek, Mule Team, and German Johnson are tasty and productive. Prue and Black Cherry have been the highlights for me.

Okay, now that I've tasted a few from the last variety to ripen, I have to add one more. In fact, this one would probably belong in the number one slot for me, but unfortunately most will need to wait a while before being able to try it for themselves. It's another unreleased dwarf - Tastywine. I can't wait to someday try the final released selection.

I've finally tasted almost everything. Several varieties were significantly slowed down by extreme heat in early June and then again about 3 weeks later just when the plants were recovering!

My top 10 include:
Margaret Curtain
Starfire Isis
Amethyst Cream
Pink Champagne
Pink Berkeley Tie-Dye
Japanese Black Trifele
Ananas Noir
Fish Lake Oxheart
Tasmanian Chocolate
Submarine Blush

It's been a great tasting year!

If all of you are like me, you are taking notes from this thread and writing a long list of tomato varieties and adding them to your must try list! Great thread, keep 'em coming!

I found some new keepers. One was Coastal Pride Orange. Since the dwarf project hasn't released an orange yet, I tried this one to round out the colors of my dwarf varieties. Very tasty and hugely productive. Others that will be back are:
AAA sweet Solano
Alices Egypt
Caseys Pure Yellow
CRNKOVIC YUGOSLAVIAN
Davids Ivory Pineapple--the most flavorful white beefsteak I have tried
Desters
Italian Heirloom
Rebel Yell
Rose
Sandul Moldavan
Weisnichts Ukranian

From Carolyns seed offer, I really like Indian Stripe PL, Eastham Pink, and Dutkas Pink.

It has been a very late year up at the farm where the bulk of the tomatoes are grown and I have not been able to sample some of the new varieties. Also, I have a list of standards that I grow every year that are not included above.

Almost forgot I started seeds for my mother, and yesterday she mentioned how much she liked the Black Cherry tomatoes. I grew them several years ago for her and she thought they were ok, but this year they were out of this world.

She also mentioned really liking Italian Heirloom.

Her plants haven't done well at all, but she has gotten some tomatoes. Next year I'll definitely have to put some in grow bags. The soil in her backyard just isn't worth a darn, even with amending for some reason.

Same here, it's now bookmarked right beside kath's two threads. I have added several to my "gotta have" list. I don't know where i will put them but i've got to have them.

Aunt Gertie's Gold, Terhune and Kentucky Cabin have been the winners for me this year.

Cherokee Purple - great taste, very good production
Cuostralee - really good flavor and has been the top one in weight produced per plant.
30+ lbs.
Red Brandywine - great taste and just keeps cranking them out.

So my updated favorite list is: No particular order

1. Aunt Gertie's Gold
2. Anna Russian - after an excruciatingly slow start this one has just produced beautiful, delicious tomatoes
3. Sun Sugar - an amazing cherry - never cracks, splits, stays for a long time on the counter without getting bad
4. Black From Tula
5. Brandywine Sudduth
