I actually have still Tomato plants ..going in the enclosed garage ....
un heated (just lights (protected against side of house). Those Yellow Pygmy are regular troopers ..still going .......Also Meyers lemons , and Jimmy Nardello and Gypsy peppers , still producing something every day .
Got lazy and let the off season "chores" LAPSE .....will pick up again at Seedling time . The taste of the winter "fare" is strong motivator to produce again in spring.

I believe greenhouse tomatoes ( some of them some times) can be tasty too. But you have to find the right ones by trying various kinds.

Well I (almost ) don't care if it has lead , mercury ..or Plutonium in it !

Does it taste like an outstanding heirloom ? !

The flavour .....the produce quality in FLAVOUR ..to be enjoyed .

(I took for granted the difference in real quality
that can come from home gardens this year ...it surprised me in the off season )

You almost have to make Buckboard bacon, it is made from the butt roast.
I just made some.
Bibb lettuce is like Boston lettuce you see in the store.
A Mexican coke has real sugar not HFCS and isn't as sweet It's The Real Thing.

I had to look Buck board bacon up ....doooooh !Looks Good!

I guess it kind of saves you a bundle doing some processing at home .. I kind of think in a similar way (sort of ) a Picnic shoulder baked and
cooked like bacon later " bacon/ham' ......it goes well with Tomatoes and it probably goes well with Borsht .....
