Yes I have had similar experiences with HD. A few months ago I purchased a couple bags of MG Organic Choice potting mix. They loaded it in my truck while I paid for it. When I got home each bag weighed 80 maybe 100 lbs. They had it outside all winter and it had filled with water and frozen into a huge brick. HD stores all there unsold inventory outside during the winter. I went to pick up some Pro-Mix HP and it was still frozen in the center. I wrote the manufacturer (of Pro-Mix) and they said the product would be useable. Thanks for the advice, I will check the local nursery(s).
