Carolyn,
Brutus is a Czech variety of tomato cultivated in Moravoseed. February 5, 2008 and was deliberately Moravoseed has this variety, all rights throughout the EU. Czechoslovakia does not exist since 1993 (Slovak people wanted separate Slovak Republic). In the Slovak Republic are commonly sold all Czech tomato seeds also now. How to get to Poland (Andrey) and to Belarus and Germany (GERM SC K) I do not know.
I think that the words "Magnus" and "Maximum" say this tomato is a very big. In doing so, it is still only the original Brutus. I doubt that there is any Brutus F1 (perhaps a business gimmick).

Vladimir, this is what I wrote in my previous post here:

(The one from Andrey that's being grown out this summer sounds like what you are growing, but what about 1 or two of the others from Slovakia/Morovoseeds? Or are we dealing with the former Czechkoslovakia and name changes? So was it a CV from Morovoseeds?)

And you'll see that I was very aware of what happened to what we knew as Yugoslavia and suggested name changes to form Slovakia and the Czech Republic so I'm confident that what is being grown out for me this year is the same as what you are growing.

I also doubt there is anything that some might be calling Brutus F1 and also agree it could be a business tactic.

Thanks so much, and onward we go, and when I get back seeds for Brutus , fingers crossed, I'll let you know what the person said about it. He doesn't take pictures so it will have to be just word descriptions. He also doesn't have a computer so I have to call him, and should this week, to see how germination went with all the varieties I sent to him.

Carolyn,
I do not understand what is CV. More I want to write:
Czechoslovakia = Czech + Slovakia
Yugoslavia= Serbia + Slovenia + Croatia + Macedonia + Bosnia and Herzegovina + Montenegro
I wish you a nice day

CV is shorthand for Commercial variety, which Brutus is, not an heirloom variety.

I had no idea that the original Yugoslavia became so many individual countries.

So when my friend and fellow teacher at the last place I taught gave me seeds for both Crnkovic Yugoslavian and Yasha Yugoslavian, the heart one,his name is Yasha Crnkovic, he said they were from the Vojvod region of Yugoslavia.

My question being, what country now has a Vojvod area?

I decided to do some Googling first and for Yugoslovia went to Wikipedia and found the following;

(The constituent six Socialist Republics that made up the country were Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, SR Croatia, SR Macedonia, SR Montenegro, SR Slovenia, and SR Serbia. Serbia contained two Socialist Autonomous Provinces, Vojvodina and Kosovo, which after 1974 were largely equal to the other members of the federation.[4][5] After an economic and political crisis in the 1980s and the rise of nationalism, Yugoslavia broke up along its republics' borders, at first into five countries, leading to the Yugoslav Wars.)

And there are found that Vojvodina and Kosovo were two autonomou sprovinces so it looks like what Yasha told me was Vojvod is now in Serbia,

Carolyn,
thank you, I understand now: CV = commercial variety.
Yes, Vojvodina is Serbia today
Vladimír
PS.: Yet something of the history:
On June 28, 1914 Austro-Hungarian Monarchy entered into the armed conflict that became World War I. Austro-Hungarian Monarchy belonged to the peoples of these later countries:
Austria + Hungary + Czechoslovakia + Jugoslavia. Multinational colossus (different religion, different language, different culture). Hence the gradual disintegration.

Vladimir, a whopper is a word used to describe something really really BIG, and in this case the tomato fruits you pictured.

Vaňkovo hroznovité
Compact indet. palnts with regular leaf foliage. Midseason red tomato, elongated oval shape with a blunt tip, aligned size of about 40 g. The taste very good, similar to Stupice. Yellow collar around the stopwatch are formed on the insolated fruits at high temperatures (July-August) 2015).
Seed source: Gengel, Czech Republic
Year grown:2014, 2015
Location: Czech republic, Brno, 780 ft
History: Czechoslovakian heirloom tomato dating back to 1955
