California Wonder Bell
Sweet Banana
Jimmy Nardello
All three of these should be Scoville Units = 0

Alma = If this is Alma Paprika, then it will also be very low or "0"

Peppadew = If you take the seeds out and then measure this one, it will be less than a jalapeno. If you leave the seeds in and measure, it will be very close to Serrano.

Nice BLK-Vegan! Quite different than mine too.

I edited mine with SHU numbers I found on the internet. I have no idea how accurate they are though. Some I couldn't find at all. Can any of you experts check it?

On Saturday afternoon, with the snow and the wind all around, the kids watched The Lorax. Right after the song "Let it Grow" at the end I came in and said "Now who wants to plant some seeds," and almost got run down. We started some Sweet California Wonder for us, Early Jalapeno (4,000-6,500) for my wife and just as an experiment some seeds from one of the red peppers from the grocery store.

Sunday afternoon my four year old was inspecting the tray for sprouts. It's great watching them start so much sooner than I did.

I started about 1500 peppers and the current batch is about to get relocated to the 50F greenhouse for a little tough love, along with 600+ tomato plants. Just took these out from under the lights, so I need to make room for the next round that just germinated.

California Wonder - 1120 (Plants not Scoville)
Carmen - 30
Jimmy Nardello - 40
Mini Bells - 60
Antohi Romania - 50
Orange Bells - 30
Yellow Bells - 40
Red Knights - 50
Yellow Banana - 30
Habanero - 20
Jalapenos - 30

Peppers went in paper pots today! They are in the low tunnel, and now it is just wait till they are big enough to go in the ground. With any luck the frosts in Central Oklahoma are done for this spring.

Started lots of serranos, jalapenos, scotch bonnets, habaneros, red marconis, mini bells, and pasillo bajos. But my real love is tomatoes.

Yes RedBaron, I hope that is the case for us. I had to put a heater out in my high tunnel last night (27 is a bit cold for tomatoes). I hope I am done with that and I can plant my hardened off seedlings outside soon. Had my first bloom open on a Black Krim out in the high tunnel today. Yay! They sure are a fast variety. All have buds on them.
