Default An Odd Year

Here it is, the last week of March. The 7-day forecast is for temperatures of 78+F highs and lows in the 50s up to the mid-sixties. In the DFW area, that's normal for the second week of May. I usually don't plant pepper transplants until may, but this year has been so odd.

Today, the average low temp is 50F. The last 4 years have proven this average to be so wrong...Freezing temps many times in April. Again, this year has been so odd.

So, I was thinking of planting some peppers early. Not early by what is recommended - but early according to what the last 4 years of data has proven.

Zone 7 and 8 Texas growers - when are you going to plant out your peppers this year?
