Will this plant grow ok?
Hi everyone, I haven't been around in a while. Just life getting in the way I guess.
I have a tomato plant that looks a bit odd to me. Is this thing going to grow, or do I need to pull and replace it? I did want this variety, but I'm not convinced it's going to work. It is a Captain Lucky, indeterminate plant. I'm giving away my spare plants tomorrow, so I need to figure this out pretty quick I think - so I probably don't want to just give it more time. Thanks!

Tracy, I think it isn't going to do well. Looks like there's no growth tip (meristem). Not normal for Captain Lucky at all.

I grew out Captain Lucky one year, so I have plenty of seed - but thank you so much for the offer.

In theory it should be fine, but will take a while. As long as there are some leaves there can be suckers growing at the base of them. Cut those odd underdevelopped buds and wait to see if any suckers appear.

It's going to be far behind in its growing, and may or may not succeed. I'd replace it if you have a plant.
