Excited for the new season ahead. Ripening fruit from winter plants and big bouncy seedlings ready to roll.
I thought I’d start a thread for photos from this season. Lots going on, the new garden at home as well as a lot of plants to be grown at the farm hub again. Numerous projects on the go and some exciting news to share this summer!
As always, more info and photos on my Instagram and facebook as well @northerngardenercanada

Have a wonderful season!

Very nice. I love yellow tomatoes. Like the milder flavor. What are the dark red ones?

Up there. Unless you have a greenhouse, growing tomatoes is a challenge. I used to garden in pnw.

Up here it’s quite tropical compared to the rest of Canada
It’s all about choosing the best varieties for the area I think mine do pretty well. Definately not the place to be growing tomatoes commercially that’s for sure but garden tomatoes do well here and there are lots of really nice market gardens, places, growing in tunnels, etc. I’ll be showing a lot of pictures of outdoor ground tomatoes here on Vancouver Island as the season goes on
