Confession time. So far Lemon Boy has been my favourite Tomato and it is a hybrid. I really like the tangyness of it. Tastes great on sandwhiches. So far though it is only being compared to Tigerella, Black Prince and Sweet 100. I have a Ponderosa and a Nepal ripe on my counter for trying tomorrow so things may change. I also bought a Cobra Hybrid Tomato from a market farm last weekend and it was absolutely amazing ( deep tomato flavour ). She grew it inground and not in a greenhouse so I may pick some seeds up of it to try next year in my garden.

Well it happened. Lemon boy has been knocked down a peg by Ponderosa! This was an amazing Tomato. I let it get really ripe on my counter before making it a sandwhich today and it was amazing. Really nice deep tomato taste. Love it! ( It is though a very different taste compared to Lemon Boy so Lemon Boy has nothing to be ashamed of )
The first two pictures are from a few days ago before it really ripened up. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
