Default Black Cherry

I love these, not a huge yielder for me though. I like how they look next to yellow cherries in a pile. Anyway

Black Cherry and yellow cherries do look good together.

I like Amish Gold and Black Plum together. They really look royal and I could sell a mixed pint of those in a flash at the growers market.

Default True Charley

I have that plant right at the front door of my tomato greenhouse. When people stop in and ask about a tomato, I will say something like, "hey have you ever had a black tomato," then I give them a sample. The rest is easy after that. Samples sell product if you can back the claim.

Default Green Zebra

These grow great in pots and people just can't get enough of them. I like GG alittle better taste wise, but these really loaded up.

I love my Black Krim, but boy does that Chocolate Stripes look like it might want to jump on my bacon sandwich.

Default Bloody Butcher

Yes Pappi, you will love CS, they are better than I expected.
Here Is a pic of Bloody Butcher, which is a great producer, even grows outdoors in AK, and it is a good tasting tomato for an early one, really good actually.

Default Brandy Boy & Amana Orange

The BB's are a hot item, Big yields and a superior taste. Amana Orange was slooooow to start producing, but the fruit was really good, was like fruit.
Heading way south to raft and kayak for a few weeks, will post a few more winter pics when I get back

More tomato porn please

Beautiful plants and fruit. I can't believe how thick the stems are. What are you feeding them?

I enjoyed reading this thread so much the first time that I had to read over it again.

I have grown the Black Cherry and like it. It's a beautiful plant too.

I bought some 1884 seed. You made them look good.

I have never tried a green tomato. What do green tomatoes taste like?
You have made the green zebra look good too.

Brandywine has always been my favorite. Did you compare the flavor of the Brandywine to the Cherokee Purple?

Carolyn - I grew my first green last summer, Green Zebra. I loved it and so did my neighbors, who raved and came back for more. Great producer thru the season. Too me, it tasted like a ripe yellow flesh plum, and about the same size too. Definitely give that one a try!

Default Taste tests

Hi Carolyn, I think brandywine is better than Cherokee purple, sudduth"s, that is, probably my favorite, my son liked blk prince the best, he loves tomatoes just for eating. I also prefer green giant, taste wise more than green zebra, but it yields alittle less for me, extremely sweet and tangy. Thanks for compliments everyone, will post a few more pics when I get home, and will start my first batch of 2014 plants for maters in May. Pura vida, from cr

Default A couple more pics

Here are a couple more pics, seems like I can only post a couple at a time. Sorry if it is annoying.
My pics did not seem to post, my computer is about ready for the dump, so that may be it until I get a new one. Anyway I had a pic of a huge Blk Pear plant and a pic of my boy standing in the forest. At any rate, maybe it is time to focus on 2014 anyway, maybe it is a SIGN.
