Blueaussi -- That sounds exactly like it. The circumstances were correct ... reduced light, etc.

I eventually took cuttings and destroyed the affected part of the plant. The cuttings look just fine, and conditions have improved, i.e., increased light and higher temps (thanks to Mother Nature).
