Default 115 Ways to Prepare Tomatoes from 1936

I found this article an interesting read and would like to share it with the folks here at TV.

http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/p...er_tomato.html

Any of these recipes sound familiar? Sounds like some of my grandmother's recipes.

This is interesting. Does anyone still use tomato vines for dyeing?

  1. The old vines contain splendid dye-stuffs, which could be utilized as a by-product for dying fabrics of various kinds.

Good stuff!
I found the insect control section interesting. What really caught me eye was the Arsenate of Lead. Essentially mixing arsenic and lead into a spray. I bet it was effective! And on more than just insects.....
