By the way, I tried an organic-based spray to resolve my aphid problem. It didn't work... Then I purchased live ladybugs online, and guess what? All aphids are gone in just a few days

Chance, Thanks for shaing your garden photo's. I love to see greenery this time of year. All the plants look like they are growing really well, and you have a nice variety....What kind of cabbage are you growing? Looks really nice..I see one fava bean on your plant...I wanted to grow artichokes this year but never ordered the seeds..I still might if it's not to late, be cutting it close..What variety are you growing? I love artichoke dip, pretty expensive to buy though..So thought I would make my own one day!

Thanks mushrooms and Ginny. Cabbage I am growing is "Copenhagen market early" (seed from Ferry Morse), even though it wasn't early for me It's growing well (plants are very healthy) but slow, probably I did something wrong (maybe I under-watered?). I will grow baby cabbage next season.
Actually if you look carefully, you will see three fava beans on two plants I harvested some fava beans from different plants, it wasn't prolific but was enough for two people. Fava beans are nitrogen-fixing plants and I will compost them.
Artichoke I am growing is "green globe improved" (seed from Botanical Interests).

Hi mysidx, I started some in last November but put them in the ground early this year. I started most of the plants in the other beds late January and mid-February.
I forgot to post the picture for the hybrid corns. They were attacked by caterpillars (corn borers I guess) when I was out of town but I saved most of them I think. When it is harvest time, I will see whether there is damage inside the ears.
Also in the second picture you can see some more tomatoes: Purple calabash, red brandywine, Aunt Ruby's purple, Henderson's winsall, Druzba, boxcar Willie, Italian heirloom, Arkansas traveler, sausage tomato, Tappy's finest.

I am growing Henderson's Wins All this year for the first time. How does it taste?

Hi Willy, I am very new to growing vegetables and this is also my first time growing Henderson's. I picked the varieties after reading about them. They say Henderson's is very delicious.
This year's tomato garden is kind of experimental for me (before I grew 3-4 varieties, this year somewhere around 50). I will decide what to grow next year, based on this year's harvest.

It tastes great and should be spelled Wins All, which is the name that was given to it following a naming contest b'c it had won so many awards. It's a selection from Henderson's Pink Ponderosa and I think it's a darn good variety, very reliable and quite tasty.
