Thanks very much for the detail. I have never played around with calcium nitrate or water soluble ferts but I have everything else is. 1-1/2 cups of 10-10-10 surprised me, but I can see how it would be needed. I have plenty of 10-10-10. 80lbs for $4 last fall clearance. That 1-1/2 c ring of fertilizer sounds like a good place to use some up. I will definitely put some of these ideas to use.

Two months later, how are your bags doing?



That ring of ferts idea seems like it worked well for peppers in plastic buckets, rain gutter under it. They look really good and I started taking peppers off them a while back. They don't get all day sun and are getting really tall; third string weave around them went up tonight.
