On my way,
haha!! I thought it might be you bringing us the warm weather this time! Thank you kindly. (I know, you packed a "sweater" or two [= parka] just in case.

LOL, My Foot. Ha, sometimes it feels like I am right on the surface of the sun.

It's 91 degrees and 67% humidity. Another scorcher this afternoon with heat index above 110 degrees.

and here in another world called da U.P.

we have gone from a near 90 degree day to rainy and 52 degrees with fog.
not exactly shirts off weather.
all the rain is making the grass grow well, but is keeping me out of the garden.

The heat wave broke for a bit here- down into the 80's since it is overcast and a cool front went through- and I woke up about 2 a.m. with a migraine from the pressure changes. Beat it back before it got to the really bad point, thank goodness, but have the hang over feeling from the headache today, plus the "walk carefully so no part of your head falls off as there is no bending over this morning" walk.

Ouch imp, I hope your feeling better now.

Salt, I haven't seen any rain in a while. Just hot, hot, hot. 110 degree heat index again today.

Getting hammered. Thunder, lightning, hail, high winds, tornado warnings...
I have a pup that would crawl into my skin if she could. She has never been afraid of storms before
but i jump every time so she must sense that.
Just finished planting last night but do have quadruple back-ups just in case they get beat up.

I hope it passes without doing ann real damage!

We've been watching that mess on the radar all day and hoping the front weakens before it gets here. The wind has been picking up speed all afternoon.

I just spent a couple of hours tying the tops of my plants to their stakes and keeping an ear out for cracking tree limbs.

The worst is dead calm and sunny right now after the first one went through...
Pulling some micro and dwarfs under the eaves, they had enough the first round this
morning.
Do i ever dislike TulipPoplars. Slime petals all over the driveway and cars. A few yrs ago
one was clipped by a wind sheer and just the tip filled the back yard.

Tulip Poplar doesn't sound like a tree I would like in my yard.

I guess we might get some rain overnight. I sprayed with neem the other day I hope that is enough because I didn't spray anything today. I wasn't aware we had rain coming, I've been missing the news and not really paying much attention. I will have to spray tomorrow morning if it's still dry out.

would you spray just before rain? would it not get washed away? i usually try to spray whatever it is after a rain event ( if possible ) so the product stays in contact with plant longer........... maybe i don't understand something.................. or my weather here in central indiana requires a totally different application regime?

Yes, spray before rain to cover any new growth, and spray after rain to retreat what was washed off.

Ugh! This rain every day is getting old and my plants are getting sicker with more EB showing up and no way to keep a fungicide on for more than a few hours if that. I will probably use the bleach spray today between showers. In the last few weeks we have only had one 24 hour period with out at least one shower and when the sun comes out it quickly gets into the 90s with terrible humidity even during the night and while it is raining it is staying in the mid 70s with near 100% humidity. I am so grateful for the month of good weather before this started because I had a bumper crop of beautiful tomatoes and now my compost is getting a bumper crop of split fruit thrown in it. Thankfully I am growing in raised beds which drain well or my tomatoes would be toast.
I still find some good looking fruit without bad splits but it is getting harder with this constant rain.
