Default Late winter crop this year

What a crazy year for gardens in North East Ohio, rain in the spring made planting late.Tomatoes were 3 to 4 weeks late this year.I pulled up my garden Saturday and put in a winter rye cover crop. This is the latest I ever planted it but it should be up in a day or two.Seems everything was late this year.
