Default Did a little schmoozing at the Mid-Atlantic Plant Swap

The folks at gardenweb.com and thegardenforums.net held their annual Spring plant swap in Burtonsville, MD on Saturday, May 6. I brought along flyers announcing MAGTAG and gave them away to everybody who showed any interest - especially the people who took the tomato plants that I had to offer.

BTW, my tomato plants are in the ground and flourishing after the much-needed rain that we got (and are still getting).

I have 39 plants in the ground including Mountaineer Mystery. I will be planting another 25 plants on the 22nd and 6 more on the 30th for giant maters. I should end up with 70 plants 46 varieties! I can't wait to meet y'all.

Hi Larry,
No I sure didn't get them all planted yet. I came down with a bad case of the gout and I'm just now feeling normal. I will have my remaining 30 plants in the ground by Tuesday (God Willin')! Mountaineer Mystery had an open flower as of yesterday, as did German Johnson. Fingers crossed on them setting. LOL

Cecilia,

Didn't know about the plant swap. If I would have known I might have tried to show but my wife and I have been so busy we haven't been able to do much.

Sounds like a nice publicity getter ;-)
