Congratulations Tom and jhp! This is my first year growing eggplants from seed too. I only grew 1 eggplant in the past. It was a plant that someone gave me.

phreddy - You have Colorado Potato beetles in Bulgaria?

Good luck.

Well, that was a whole year ago! But thanks! The eggplants did well last year and they didn't even have a prime spot, they were kind of shoved in where I could fit them. They're so cool to look at that I gave them a nice spot front and center this year. We've had horrible weather, rain every day in June, so far this year and it's been cool. The last couple of weeks it's finally drying out and sunny and my eggplants are putting on fruit. I'm a little surprised. I thought they would sulk longer.

This year I am growing lavender touch, Rosa Bianca, Little Prince, and Lao Purple Stripe. So far little prince and lavender touch have little tiny eggplants on them. Nothing big enough to photograph yet really.
