Vjerino Paradajiz Sjeme (or simply Vjerino), is worth a mention. It is large, productive and good tasting. -and the plants are huge.
I actually used it in a dwarf cross, Vjerino x Wherokowhai, which eventually led to "Dwarf Awesome". I got my original seeds from Carolyn (Thanks!).

I've had to revise my list of favorite hearts several times now b/c if I think no one at Tville might have them if you asked in the Wanted Subforum what is the sense of listing them. And some of my faves have already been listed by others in this thread and of course I will also list them/..
But I do know of several places where you might find packets of seeds for a very reasonable price and can mention them as well. Carolyn

Thanks to everyone for sharing their favorite hearts. Now I’ve got to do research and come up with a list. Probably grow about 12 varieties with 4 plants each, as I usually grow about 50 plants each year.

I was trying very hard to select varieties that you might be able to ask for in the Wanted seed subforum here. But as I also said above I could list the places where I knew you would find seeds to buy at very reasonable prices. So I do hope you will also soon become a heart lover as well. Carolyn

I do not recommend growing all hearts.
I've tried, and failed a few times, with over 50% of my plants being hearts. Murphy's Law kicks in every time I do this, as adverse weather conditions show no mercy to heart varieties, in my garden. Out of your 50 plants, I'd set aside some of those spaces for the most reliable, great tasting, non-hearts you've tried. |

My favorite heart is Sgt Peppers but I also love Brad's Black Heart and Wes was a huge producer of really large tomatoes but used them for cooking and salsa rather than fresh eating.
Picture is a Sgt Pepper's tomato I grew. Ginny Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk |

TA-DAA!! Picked the first heart of the year, and the winner is...Eagle's Beak. Beautiful 10 ounce twin perfectly heart shaped, meaty, deliciously sweet tomatoes. Soon to be on the menu is Cherokee Purple Heart and non-heart Brandywine Black (or is it Black Brandywine).
