One variety would never be optimal, but suppose circumstances dictated it: you're incapacitated and someone offers to grow one tomato plant/variety of your choice for you.

Sungold. It's the best tasting tomato I've ever had. I'm thinking about it and my stomach just started growling. Only 4 months to go.

Yes, Sungold. And I don't even really like to grow cherries, much prefer big tomatoes. But the flavor is so worth it.

Henderson's Pink Ponderosa. My dad was right about this heirloom from the 19th century. It has it all - taste, size, beauty, production.

Ever tried Sun Sugar? I grow both but find Sun Sugar cracks less and skin a bit thinner. Tastewise pretty similar to me.

Trying Sunsugar this year. I love Sungold until the taste goes funky in late summer. Have heard that Sunsugar doesn't do that......
