Looking good Frank. Can't wait for the taste test. I have 6 seedlings that will be planted out next week. Ami

Looks great! My mouth is watering at the thought of trying a sun gold. I've never eaten one before, and I have a sungold plant with buds on it, and a seedling of sungold.

Thanks for sharing your pic, what a healthy plant you have grown.

Mysidx: I used earthtainers for years as their condition will attest to. Have recently moved the garden and gone mostly to 18 gal. pots. However, if I don't get off my rearend and install drip irrigation, I'm gonna regret it.
Here are a couple more picturesa of my new garden.
Going to send you a pm soon.

Tgplp: Sungold is always the first producer in my garden. Also last the longest into the fall. LOVE the flavor for a cherry. It won't replace a great slicer, but sure beats anything available at the store.

Looking good Frank! Your garden area looks alot like mine, totes and pots everywhere. I too switched to standard draining pots/totes versus the SWC's, for tomatoes anyways. They just taste better when allowed to drain and dry out a bit, in my opinion anyway. Still using the left over SWC's for cukes and melons which have done well for me.

Frank that is a beautiful sunny spot. Just wondering why you don't just build some nice raised beds in that great location. It sure makes watering easier. I have about 20 different containers going and they seem to take more time watering and maintaining than most of my beds which can grow so much more. Once a day watering is not always enough for containers in the heat we have and the container plants seem to need much more frequent fertilizing to stay healthy.

I did raised beds for years. Row gardens before that. Even tried some square foot gardens. Having gotten a little older and the health is not what it used to be, I find that the control I have over soil, water, weeds, etc. is a lot less work with containers than with raised beds. I still have 16 4'x16' raised beds out back somewhere in overgrown jungle behind the house.

After I install the drip system, about all I will do is patrol for Hornworms and stink bugs. Maybe give a cage or two a shake and hopefully pick tomatoes.

Frank, your garden looks great! I for one, would love to hear details about the drip system you have planned.
