I mean really, just look at a map and tell me that should be part of Michigan.

What a coincidence, last night I watched Aerial America (great show btw), and it said that the Upper Peninsula was given to Michigan to make up for the Toledo strip in the southeast part of Michigan that was given to Ohio.

not ohios fault.

you can blame the toledo war on congress.

google the toledo strip or toledo war, and you will find that there was some misunderstanding about the geological features of the great lake region which led to more than one interpretation of where the boundary between michigan and ohio should be.

talk about thread drift
we are a long way from alberta now, aren't we?

Zana,

Darlene doesn't think I'm nuts, deluded, crazy, obsessed with the anticipating planting of a garden, she knows! I seen the pics of your garden and greenhouse. Very nice. Also like the chickens and coop. We had chickens, ducks, Guinea fowl and the fattest foxes on our farm in southern Saskatchewan.
