Years ago, I moved to a very rural location. I became very frustrated with squirrels eating pretty much my entire crop of tomatoes. I decided to relocate my hobby to escape the rodent thieves. I have a perfect exposure behind my store in the city, sun from sunrise till about 3 pm. A tree farming buddy gave me some 15 gal containers and so far so good. Been growing in this location about 5 years now. Nobody bothers them and, since I added the drip irrigation, production is excellent. And NO SQUIRRELS!!

You should apply for an urban beautification grant.
Nicely done.

Lovely! Hopefully all rodents stay away.
(we have lots of urban squirrels and urban hares, too) |

Looks like a really efficient set up with lots of light! Would love to see more when those plants are full sized and loaded with tomatoes! Congratulations on outwitting those squirrels.

And they don't even seem to be chained down!
S. Carolina? Okay, that makes sense.

Will do around the end of June, early July. That's prime tomato time here in 7b (upstate SC).
