Default A few pictures from a newbie

Just wanting to share the joy. I built three Earthtainers. When I couldn't find a good float for the water-level flag, I "broke down" and bought an AWS from the folks at Earthbox.

So far, these are the best looking tomato plants I've ever had. I hope the tomatoes end up looking as good as the plants!

Those plants do look great. What varieties are you growing?

The container on the left is "Parks Whopper"
The center is "Celebrity"
And the container on the right is "Better Boy"

All were purchased as plants from Lowe's. Hey -- ya gotta start somewhere!

The plants look great. I also built some earthtainers this year and I have to say my tomato plants are also the healthiest I have ever grown. I was late getting them in but I have lots of flowers that I hope equates to lots of tomatoes!!

No doubt, I have to admit due to weather issues I too have more purchased plants in the garden than ones started from seed. Those all three are very good and popular tomatoes for a reason. Celebrity has one of the best disease resistance packages in one tomato variety you are likely to find. Parks Whopper produces some Nice sized tomatoes and Better boy does as well with great production. Just hybrid tomatoes I am growing Better boy, Big Boy, Jetsetter, and Bush Goliath. I know a lot of us on here have at least one or two hybrids we grow either due to taste or as our go to tomato in case its a bad year.

You should have good luck with the Celebrity and Better Boy I always do, I've been picking off my two Celebrity for a week or two, I also bought mine at Lowe's. I did have to replace one of the better boys I bought there, because within a few days of putting them in the ground I started seeing the leave turning yellow, like it had early blight, I pulled it and replaced it with a early girl which is doing very good, it's my tallest plant and was the first plant I started picking from.
