Black Hen Manure
Who has experience using Black Hen manure? I hit the mother load at one of the Big Box stores yesterday and bought 37 bags for cheap. I have used Black Kow for years, I noticed the Black Hen is 3-2-3 little more heat than the Kow . Thanks!!!

It's terrible! Don't put it anywhere near your garden.... however I'll do you a favor and come take it off your hands....
JK, Nice find! Should be a good additive for next year's garden. Lee

I ran out of rabbit manure this spring and have been trying to find some more. I had good luck with it over the last year or so . I had a lady down south east of me who use to raise rabbits keep me in stock , but she has since got out of the rabbit business . Hopefully the black hen will do just as well.

I had thought manure of any kind was mostly nitrogen, but apparently that is not the case at all: http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/hort/c...t_content.html

I had always read that rabbit manure was the highest in nitrogen when compared to horse, cow and chicken.Over all it seems to be good for the plants and soil , dosen't smell nearly as bad as other manure either.

Look... come to my house to deliver the black hen. And you can keep every single stinking rabbit you can find to produce manure for you all year round. Deal?
Rabbits=long eared rats :{

I have read in organic forums - they suggest composting chicken manure before using it. But I cannot offer advice because I've never used it myself. |
