Mystery Flower/Weed

This grows wild here every year. It is one of the only weeds I try not to pull out because it is so pretty in the morning. My wife's favorite color is blue and she wakes up before sunrise every day, so it's a keeper. It blooms as the sun rises and stays flowered until around 2pm. I encouraged it to grow in the pot by dropping flowers from other plants in the pot last year. It worked.

Do any of you have an idea of what it may be? I should add that the pot is 2' wide and tall.

Salt it is in the Tradescantia family.
It could be spiderwort.

Salt ... It is a pretty wild flower, but make sure you don't let it escape its container. I don't remember the name of it, but a friend used to take and make hanging baskets full of it. The one day when I wasn't looking she planted some pieces around the yard. Agggggg while pretty, it travels everywhere and is hard to eradicate. It will root down right where eer it touches.

It really likes our garden. It does spread fast.

Relative of the Wandering Jew I find this plants are low energy and take very little from the soil.
Plus they attract bees but a bee attractor can be a double edged sword.
The bees tend to go to what they like best and leave my cucumbers alone.

My Gram calls it Widow's Tears and it grows all over the wooded area at the back of her property.
