How's the taste of those? I have been interested in trying that one.

I found it to be an incredibly productive and vigorous plant, with not sweet, but fairly rich tomatoey flavor. Great canner too. Worth a grow.
My preference is for sweeter and acid balanced.
That is a beautiful large one.

It did great for me this year. Largest producer by weight of fruit. Only drawback to RB variety is it is very prone to EB.

Of all the ones that Joe Bratka's father bred, such as:

Box Car Willie
Mule Team
Great Divide
Lady Luck
Pasture
Red Barn

Red Barn has always been my favorite. None of them are what I'd call sweet, just a wonderful complex old fashioned kind of taste, at least for me who has grown all of them many times for SSE requests and seed offers here and there in the past.

A big thank you to Carolyn for suggesting Red Barn. I was lucky enough to obtain the seeds in Tormato's Seed Swap and grew 2 plants. The tomatoes just started to ripen last week with weights between 20 and 28 oz. It's not too sweet but very flavorful. It's on my list for next year.
