Default cuke clone

On a store bought plant a couple of days after bringing it home, one of the stems collapsed down to toothpick size for some reason.
Before the plant could die,I cut off the good part and put it in a juicy seed starting mix indoors under a grow light.
It is still alive after 1 week,if it lives it will be the 1st time I ever cloned a cuke plant.
Variety was boston pickling, plants were from walmart.
