Default Roma II beans from under row cover

The Roma IIs love the row cover, and so do I. First year in a long time the beans aren't bug eaten beyond use. This is second harvest. Nearly 20 lbs. so far from 12 foot row.

Looks like a real nice harvest. Do you have any concerns about heat build-up under the row cover in high season?

I need row cover to keep the deer pests away. They have grazed down my edamame something terrible.

Ruth, if any heat build up I think the beans like it. You could also nail a piece of row cover on a tall stake and let it blow in the wind and maybe scary off those walking steaks. :-)

I canned 16 pints of green beans today.
